Bomb scare at Monroe Regional Airport
Posted on 9/24/2013 12:06:00 PM.
The Monroe Regional Airport was temporarily shut down today after a threatening note was found on an American Eagle flight. FBI spokesperson Mary Beth Romig says a bomb note was found in the lavatory of the commuter plane that left Dallas and landed in Monroe Tuesday morning.

"The note stated that the plane would detonate upon landing, but the plane landed safely," Romig said.

Romig says 15 passengers and three crew members were on the plane that left Dallas just after nine o' clock this morning. She says they were all interviewed by FBI and local law enforcement, but they have not identified the person responsible for the bomb threat.
