After beating Arizona 10-3 on Sunday, it seemed like UL Lafayette was destined for a trip to the Super Regionals.
But the Wildcats stormed back to win three games in a 24-hour period to win the Lafayette Regional and advance to play Mississippi State in the Super Regionals.

Arizona beat Sam Houston State on Sunday and then defeated the Ragin Cajuns twice on Monday, winning the first game 6-3 and then the regional championship game 3-1.
In the second game of the day, UL Lafayette was held to just five hits and for the second straight game, the Cajuns didn't get a good outing from their starting pitcher.
Wyatt Marks was knocked out after two innings, as he gave up three runs in two innings.
Arizona scored two runs in the 1st inning and one more in the second.
The only run for the Cajuns came in the 4th inning as Kyle Clement hit a home run.
In the first game of the day, UL Lafayette fell behind 5-0 and never recovered. Cajuns starting pitcher Evan Guillory failed to record an out and gave up three runs.
