LSU to play Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl; Louisiana Tech headed to Dallas

The LSU football team will play Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl on Tuesday, December 30th. Itís the 15th straight season the Tigers will play in a bowl game and itís their first meeting against the Fighting Irish since beating them 41-14 in the 2007 Sugar Bowl.


Offensive guard Vadal Alexander is excited to face Notre Dame.
 
"You grow up looking at Notre Dame, watching them play since you were little, it's always a program that's in the national spotlight, so it's easier to get really get up for it," Alexander said. 
 
Kick-off for the game is set for two PM in Nashville. Itís been a down season for Notre Dame as they are 7-and-5.  
 
Louisiana Tech, who lost to Marshall in the Conference USA Championship game, will play Illinois in the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl in Dallas on December 26th. Kick-off is at noon.
 
The Ragin Cajuns will play Nevada in the R-and-L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 20th at 10 AM.
 
South Carolina will face Miami in the Duck Commander Independence Bowl in Shreveport on Saturday, December 27th. 
 
And of course, Alabama will take on Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day night. It will be a semi-final matchup in the first ever college football playoff. Oregon against Florida State in the Rose Bowl is other semi-final match-up.
