Louisiana teachers now have access to free teaching materials all with the click of a computer mouse and keyboard. The Louisiana Federation of Teachers Share My Lesson is a free web based site teachers can use to enrich their skills. LFT Spokesman Les Landon explains.

"It offers teachers over 400,000 free lessons plans and other teaching materials.  Teachers can get professional development credits there through webinars and they can share their ideas with other teachers from all across the country."
Landon says the site offers much more than materials for teachers. The site can also benefit parents and their children.
"Parents are welcome to peruse the site.  It can help the kids with their homework and hopes that it can strength their relationships with their teachers."
The American Federation of Teachers designed the site, assisting in the development and expansion of the information available. Landon says this makes it easy for Louisiana educators to add to their teaching plan without leaving the state.
"States around the country are establishing similar sites.  So when a teacher logs on to LFT Share My Lesson, they can share ideas with teachers all over the country."
