Michelle Southern reporting.
Starting today, the Presidential search committees for Northwestern State University and Grambling State University will each meet on their respective campuses. University of Louisiana System President Sandra Woodley says the most important of these initial gatherings is the public hearing.
The search committee at NSU will be meeting today in the Magale Recital Hall at 1pm. GSU's search committee will be meeting tomorrow at 9am in Betty E. Smith School of Nursing Auditorium.
Woodley says they encourage faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members to all attend and give their input.
Woodley says in these early stages, they want to create a profile of a candidate the search firm can look to recruit when the interviewing begins.
She says the process won't be quick but they hope to have someone in place at each university by the fall.
