State Police are seeking a suspect in a crash that resulted in Interstate 10 being closed for over 12 hours. Trooper Bryan Lee says on August 5 a red Ford Fusion struck an 18-wheeler, causing it to overturn. He says the truck driver sustained minor injuries, and the other driver fled on foot.

“The person of interest in that ford fusion fled the scene, and we later found out that that car was reported stolen also,” Lee said.

Lee says the suspect is a white male with long blonde and brown hair and tattoos covering both arms and legs. He says after fleeing the scene, he went into a nearby Wal-Mart and changed clothes.

“He entered the Wal-Mart wearing a white t-shirt and green pants with his hair down. He later exited the Wal-Mart wearing a gray t-shirt with his hair pulled up,” Lee said.

Lee says once the suspect is apprehended, he will face multiple charges.

“He’s going to face charges for the crash of careless operations, hit and run for fleeing the scene, possible charges for stolen vehicle pending,” Lee said.
