LSU built a double-digit lead in the 1st half, only to see Ole Miss make a big run to tie the game at halftime. Coach Will Wade must have delivered his best halftime speech of the season as the Tigers built another double-digit lead in the 2nd half, this time they didn't look back as the defeated the Ole Miss Rebels 82-66.
Four players scored in double figures for the Tigers led by Duop Reath, who had 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting. Skylar Mays had 17 points, 15 in the 2nd half. Tremont Waters and Aaron Epps each had 11 points. Epps had 11 points and 9 rebounds. Waters had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists.
LSU shot 50% from the field, while the Rebels shot just 28% for the second half and 37% for the game.
The victory improves LSU's record to 14-10 overall, 5-7 in the SEC. They'll be in action again on Tuesday night in Tuscaloosa as they visit Alabama. The Crimson Tide topped the Tigers 74-66 on January 13th in the PMAC.
