Consensus five-star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. of Baton Rouge committed to LSU via a tweet Wednesday afternoon and will shut down his recruitment for good. Stingley recorded 64 tackles and had 11 interceptions at Dunham High School last year.

LSU athletics reportedly paid 1.7 million dollars to buyout the final two years of Matt Canada’s contract. So the search is on for a new offensive coordinator. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham believes Athletics Director Joe Alleva is willing to spend a lot on a new play caller.

SEC Media projects LSU will finish third in the West

The LSU men’s basketball team suffered a historic loss last night to Florida. It was the Tigers worst loss at home since 1963, as the Gators devoured the Tigers 106-71. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham believes Johnny Jones’ days are numbered as head coach.

LSU Board defers action on $100,000 playoff incentive for Les Miles

The LSU Board of Supervisors elects not to take up a proposal to give football coach Les Miles an additional $100,000 if the Tigers reach the national championship game. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham was there when the item agenda came up for a vote and it was quickly deferred to be considered at a future meeting.

It appeared Miles was coaching his final game in Tiger Stadium on Saturday, but after the victory, athletic director Joe Alleva announced Miles would return for another season. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham says the LSU president saved Miles' job.
