Monday is designated as Cyber Monday; a day to make your online holiday purchases, but state officials remind you those purchases are not tax-free. Louisiana Department of Revenue spokesman Byron Henderson says some websites will add the 8% applicable state tax to your purchases, but a greater number still do not. "They're allowed to not charge sales tax because they do not have a physical location in the state of Louisiana, but it DOESN'T mean the tax does not apply to that purchase."
