Baton Rouge authorities are searching for the gunman who fatally shot a Tennessee truck driver while he was changing a tire on his 18-wheeler yesterday morning. Sgt. Don Coppola says this is another tragic incident that claimed the life of 49-year-old Keith Odom.

A Denham Springs contractor has been arrested after allegedly defrauding two Baton Rouge flood victims. BRPD Sgt. Don Coppola says 48-year-old Andrew Darian contacted two female victims, one of whom was 70-years-old, about doing work on their homes.

A Baton Rouge father has been arrested after allegedly killing his 4-year-old while play fighting. Baton Rouge Police Sgt. Don Coppola says on November 30th, Kristopher Carter brought his unconscious son, Marcel, to the hospital. He says Carter transported the child to the hospital himself, hours after the incident because his son did not want to go.

A Baton Rouge woman is behind bars after she attacked her husband with a turkey. Sgt. Don Coppola with Baton Rouge Police says a juvenile male called police on Thanksgiving Day to report that his parents were fighting. He says the situation escalated when 32-year-old Helen Jackson pulled a knife on her husband.

BRPD looking to make another arrest in fatal shooting of Southern Univ. students

Baton Rouge Police are looking to arrest another gunman in the shooting that killed two Southern University students and injured another man. 22-year-old Ernest Felton has already been arrested and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a weapon. Sgt. Don Coppola says investigators are working to determine who fired the gun killing the two women.

DNA test links BR man to 1996 rape case

A Baton Rouge man has been arrested after an unrelated DNA test links him to a 1996 rape case. Baton Rouge Police Sgt. Don Coppola says 20 years ago, a 17-year-old girl was walking down the street and asked now 59-year-old Jerry Williams for a ride, where he then took her to his house and raped her. He says during the initial investigation, detectives had trouble re-contacting the victim so the case went unsolved.

Baton Rouge Police have arrested a teenager after he accidentally fired a round from a shotgun killing his friend.  Cpl. Don Coppola says 17-year-old Ahmad Antoine is charged with negligent homicide in the death of 17-year-old Devin Anderson.

Officials: LSU player stabbed multiple times during fight at bar near campus early Tuesday

An LSU football player was involved in a bar fight early Tuesday in which he was stabbed multiple times, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. School officials identify the victim as tight end Dillon Gordon. BRPD's Cpl. Don Coppola says they responded to a physical altercation Reggie's around 12:45 this morning.

BRPD arrests man who claimed he had to expose himself to 100 women to get into frat

The Baton Rouge Police Department arrests a man they say exposed himself to a woman jogging the LSU lakes claiming he had to do it 100 times to get into a fraternity. BRPD Corporal Don Coppola says 32-year-old Charles Jeremy Harrison of Denham Springs is charged with a count of obscenity. The victim came forward on August 11th.

2 women arrested after police find teenager malnourished

The mother of a Baton Rouge teenager was arrested today after officers found her son severely malnourished. 49-year-old Rose Holland is charged with 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile and also faces drug charges. Cpl. Don Coppola says Baton Rouge police officers discovered the child when responding to a noise complaint.
