DeQuincy once again setting for fake news article

The City of DeQuincy in Calcasieu parish is once again the subject of a satire news article, this time alleging that the mayor fired a firefighter for praying at the scene of a fire. Mayor Lawrence Henagan says that couldn’t be further from the truth.

In an online study conducted by Only in Your State, the Calcasieu Parish town of DeQuincy was named the safest place to live in Louisiana. DeQuincy Mayor Lawrence Henagan says he is happy that his town of nearly 3,200 residents is a place with no violent crimes.More

DeQuincy Mayor brushing off fake article claiming they've legalized polygamy

The Mayor of Dequincy says he's not concerned about a fake news site once again targeting the city with an article claiming they've passed some ridiculous law. This time "The News Examiner" says polygamy is now legal in DeQuincy. Mayor Lawrence Henagan says if anyone truly reads these articles you would easily be able to tell that they aren't real.

DeQuincy Mayor: Article claiming town bans "twerking" is pure malarkey

The Mayor of DeQuincy says the article circling the internet claiming he's made "twerking" in the town illegal is foolishness that is not true. The satirical article claims the dance craze had become such a problem in the town, first offenders would face a mandatory 30 days in jail.
