A Shreveport man has been arrested for pretending to be a state trooper. LSP Trooper Matt Harris says they received a complaint about a door to door steak salesman impersonating a trooper. He says after detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest, they requested 47-year-old Lester Wells’ service at the criminal investigations division in Bossier City.

The Louisiana National Guard says the bunker that exploded at Camp Minden operated the way it was designed to handle such a blast, as it contained and controlled the M6 propellant. Matt Harris with Louisiana State Police says no people or property were hurt in the explosion.

A Calvary Baptist Academy teacher has been arrested for inappropriate conduct through online messaging with his student. According to State Police, 25-year-old Kyle Rutledge of Shreveport contacted a 16-year-old female student online. Trooper Matt Harris says the student immediately told her parents about the initial inappropriate message, who notified the school and authorities.

Louisiana State Police have arrested a Shreveport firefighter after facilitating a meeting online with what he thought was a 13-year-old girl and her mother to have a sexual encounter with both. Trooper Matt Harris says 35-year-old Brian Garza was on duty when he chatted with the girl and he arranged to meet at a location. Harris says when Garza showed up at the location, Troopers were waiting to take him into custody.

The snow has arrived in north Louisiana and State Police urge residents to stay home and don't travel unless it's absolutely necessary. Trooper Matt Harris says if you do have to drive somewhere in areas where snow has fallen, take it easy.

State Police say a train-truck crash in Desoto Parish has killed three men. Trooper Matt Harris says a group of oil field vehicles were traveling on a private road yesterday afternoon when a truck, driven by 23-year-old John Watson of Centerville, approached some railroad tracks.
