Miss USA Finals tonight in Shreveport

The Miss USA finals are tonight in Shreveport. It’s an event that not only brings glamour to northwest Louisiana, but the pageant is also expected to produce a five-million-dollar economic impact. Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau spokesperson Chris Jay says the contestants have enjoyed their time preparing for the big night.

Shreveport-Bossier will play host to both this year’s Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants, with Miss USA confirmed for May 21st. It'll be the first time both pageants have ever been held at the same location back to back. Miss USA will air live on FOX-TV from the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum.More

Despite all the controversy surrounding Donald Trump, his Miss USA pageant goes on as scheduled this Sunday night in Baton Rouge. It won’t be shown on NBC as previously scheduled but it will be shown on the Reelz network and locally in Baton Rouge.

A Baton Rouge City Councilman is upset over the Capitol City losing out in international television exposure as a result of NBC's decision not to broadcast the Miss USA Pageant. Last year the pageant, which was held in Baton Rouge for the first time, was shown in 70 countries.

After a week of fun events with southern flare around Louisiana, the nationally televised Miss USA Competition is happening in Baton Rouge this Sunday. You can watch the pageant live on NBC at 7pm. Visit Baton Rouge President Paul Arrigo says so far all of the feedback they've been getting from visitors has been extremely positive.

Baton Rouge chosen as host city for 2014 Miss USA

Officials in Baton Rouge announce the 2014 Miss USA pageant will be held at the River Center in The Capitol City. Donald Trump operates the show together with NBC Universal. Visit Baton Rouge President Paul Arrigo says it's a huge honor they would select The Red Stick to host the summer event.
