A Buckeye elementary school teacher has been arrested for possession of alcohol on public school property after an assistant principal noticed she was displaying odd behavior. Captain Tommy Carnline with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s office says witnesses saw 43-year-old Shannon Beran was moving slowly and awkwardly during car pickup duty.

When you hear the words “court date” the first thing that comes to mind might not necessarily be the action that took place at the Rapides Parish Courthouse yesterday. An unusual sound was coming from the staircase yesterday. Spokesperson Lt. Tommy Carnline says that’s when one of the employees decided to scope out the situation.
“They observed these two subjects having sex in the stairwell.”

|A former Monroe children’s TV show host known as “Mr. Wonder” will now have to register as a sex offender as part of a plea deal for inappropriate conduct with a child back in 1979. 78-year-old Frank Selas pleaded guilty to indecent behavior with a juvenile earlier this month, but was not required to register as a sex offender. Severe weather across the state resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries, as well as road closures and downed power lines. Maj. Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office says two people were killed when an EF1 tornado touched down in a rural area of the parish.

14 individuals have been arrested after an extensive burglary investigation by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office. Capt. Tommy Carnline says each time a search warrant was conducted, it led detectives to find more information or the recovery of stolen property. He says the suspects were part of a huge burglary ring.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office says two people are behind bars amid allegations children in their care tested positive for drugs. Captain Tommy Carnline says the complaint originally came in from the Department of Children and Family Services in regards to a November incident.

A 15 month old child that went missing overnight in Rapides Parish was located hours later in a briar patch across the street from the Tioga home. Lt. Tommy Carnline with the sheriff's office says they were called to the residence around 7:30 this morning, and the search lasted less than an hour.

A 17-year-old is under arrest after making threats online involving the Alexandria Senior High School prom. Rapides Parish Lt. Tommy Carnline says investigators believed an incident could take place at the prom and discovered a fake internet social media account. Carline says evidence found led them to arrest Adrian Ray of Alexandria at his home.

After an identity hearing in California today, a judged has ruled Frank Selas is former Monroe TV personality “Mr. Wonder” who is accused of committing sex crimes in Louisiana in the 70s. Lt. Tommy Carnline with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office says now the process of getting Selas back to Louisiana begins.

A children’s TV personality in north Louisiana known as, “Mr. Wonder” is in custody on allegations of criminal sexual conduct with juveniles. 76-year-old Frank Selas was arrested in San Diego, California and his alleged crimes date back to the 1970s. Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Spokesperson Lt. Tommy Carnline says Selas would invite children ages 5 to 11 on weekend camping trips…
