|The personal-finance website Wallethub names Louisiana as the most stressed state. Spokesperson Jill Gonzales says they looked at a variety of factors and Louisiana has among the highest work and money related stresses than any other state.|
"Even though Louisianians are working some of the most hours per week, they are making very little money for it compared to other states," Gonzales said.

Three Louisiana cities are among the most stressed in the country, according to a new study from the personal finance website WalletHub. Shreveport came in at number ten on the list. Jill Gonzales with WalletHub says Shreveport did particularly badly in the health category.

Analyst Jill Gonzales says they measured the quality of child care and professional opportunities, which really brought Louisiana down. She says although the costs of day-care is relatively low.

A study from WalletHub finds Louisiana is the worst state to be a police officer. Website analyst Jill Gonzales says they measured the quality of life and job hazards, which really brought Louisiana down in the ratings.

Louisiana is the second most stressed state, according to a report by WalletHub. Michelle Many with LSU Health New Orleans believes that’s because so many people in the Bayou State are poor. Many says a lack of money can prevent people from getting the psychological help they need.

Louisiana has the worst financial literacy in the nation, according to the personal finance website WalletHub. Analyst Jill Gonzales says the median credit score in the state is 654, which is verging on bad credit. She says only 28 percent of residents are setting aside money for their children’s education, and less half have a rainy day fund.

WalletHub analyst Jill Gonzales says Mardi Gras has an economic impact of $465 million for New Orleans alone. She adds that it’s growing every year as more and more people save up to visit the Big Easy for the Carnival season.

Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day, and WalletHub has issued a report on race relations which indicates Louisiana is among the top 10 for making the most progress. Spokesperson Jill Gonzales says the report measured the gaps between blacks and whites in 16 key indicators that put the state right at number 10.

Louisiana is home to three of the most sinful cities in the country, according to WalletHub. Baton Rouge came in at number 8 on the list, New Orleans is number 10, and Shreveport cracked the top 20. Millions of Americans are expected to shop tomorrow, and WalletHub has released their report of the best stores for Black Friday. Jill Gonzales with WalletHub says Macy’s will have the best discounts, as their average discount is about 64% off. But she says shoppers will find good deals just about everywhere.
