The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says a Winnsboro man had roadkill in the cooler of his restaurant and then took it home to butcher it. 61-year-old Somchanh Chanthapanya was cited for possession of a spotted fawn.

"Apparently it was hit on a highway close to the restaurant and it was road kill and he thought it would be a good idea to pick it up and clean it for later," said Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries spokesperson Adam Einck.
