A study out of Australia finds late night phone usage could hurt teens’ sleep quality and mental health. LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans clinical psychologist Michelle Moore is not surprised by the findings and says parents shouldn’t allow their kids to have cellphones in their rooms at night. She says the bright light on the screen isn’t the only thing keeping them awake.

It's one of the busiest shopping days of the year and LSU marketing professor Dan Rice says shoppers are savvier than ever thanks to technology. Rice says just because the malls are packed today, doesn't mean that shoppers are ready to buy from that store.

A bill that would prohibit motorists from using a hand held cell phone through school zones gets another nod from the legislature Thursday. There was no objection to Bossier City Representative Jeff Thompson's bill in the Senate Transportation committee. Livingston Senator Dale Erdy asked Thompson if this was really a problem.
