EBRSO: Man charged for allegedly running over, killing his brother while passed out

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office says a man has been arrested for allegedly running over and killing his brother with his vehicle early this morning. EBRSO spokeswoman Casey Hicks says they were called about 3:40am.

Suspect in shooting death of EBRSO deputy dies

The suspect accused in the shooting death of Sgt. Shawn Anderson with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's office has died. State Police Trooper Bryan Lee says 30-year-old Brandon Wiley was pronounced dead at around 5 PM on Tuesday. He was listed in critical condition after he was injured from the gunfire exchange between him and the fallen deputy. It happened Saturday night at a hair salon as officers spoke with Wiley who was a suspect in a rape.

EBRSO: Mother arrested for attempted murder of her two year old son

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says a woman is under arrest amid allegations that she tried to kill her 2-year-old little boy. EBRSO spokeswoman Casey Hicks says they received a call from a local hospital indicating that the toddler had been brought in by his mother, 29-year-old Samantha Snell, in critical condition and with multiple fractures.

EBRSO: Suspect in police shootout wanted on non-violent crimes

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's office says the man who was involved in a shootout with officers early Thursday morning was wanted on numerous warrants from several agencies. He's been identified as 22 year old Jessie Gordon of Denham Springs and EBRSO says he shot and killed himself after the ordeal.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's office says a man held his family hostage Sunday, threatened to kill them then turned the gun on himself in a standoff with deputies. Spokeswoman Casey Hicks says 53-year-old Jerry Foster had been arguing with his wife yesterday morning, when he took her to a relative's house at gunpoint.
