Proponents say it's time to pass a bill to stop cell phone use while driving

The full House takes up a bill today Tuesday hat would prohibit holding a cell phone while driving. Jennifer Smith, the CEO of Stopdistractions.org is pushing for this legislation
 
"No one is saying you can't use your phone while you're driving. This law simply says you would have to use it in a hands free mode.  All phones have apps now that you can use hands free for virtually no cost," Smith said.
