The Humane Society of Louisiana is offering a $1,200 dollar reward for any information leading to the arrest of a man accused of killing a pit bull by dragging it behind a truck on Sunday night in Slidell. Director Jeff Dorson says a passing car pulled over and asked the man what happened, he claimed it was an accident, unchained the dog and fled the scene without the pit bull.

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, the state Fire Marshal's Office, and local authorities are seeking information on 86 suspected arsons. Ag Commissioner Mike Strain says the suspicious fires happened between August 30th and October 21st.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is offering up to a $7,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the illegal killing of a black bear found in Avoyelles Parish. Spokesman Adam Einck says they were first contacted about the incident on December 5th.
