LSU faces largest point spread at home in 20 years

LSU is a 14-point underdog against top ranked Alabama this Saturday, in the largest point spread against the Tigers at home in 20 years. Despite the Tigers three upset victories against three top ten teams, Vegas believes the Bama train will roll on.

Senator Danny Martiny to bring back sports betting bill next year

Kenner Senator Danny Martiny told Senate Judiciary B Committee that he plans to bring back a bill next legislative session to legalize sports betting.

Martiny made the statement after hearing testimony from Louisiana State Police Audit Director Jeff Taylor, who provided revenue estimates from the American Gaming Association.

Supreme Court makes sports betting possible nationwide, but current Louisiana law will not allow for sports bets here

The US Supreme Court has ruled that states outside of Nevada are now allowed to permit sports gambling. Neighboring states such as Arkansas and Mississippi approved legislation that would allow the gaming to take place, but Louisiana denied legislation that would have put the issue up for voters this fall. Metairie Senator Danny Martiny says that’s great news for Beau Rivage.
