Bossier City's newest casino resort is growing closer to opening its doors. Margaritaville spokesperson Christy Wood says State Police Gaming division officers are visiting this week, to test casino systems, gaming machines, staff training and compliance with state laws.
Wood says, before Margaritaville can open it's doors to guests for a "soft launch", staff and state officials must first give it a proper shakedown. Wood says the complex may know by Thursday, when they're approved to open for business. Wood says the tropically-themed Margaritaville is very much on track for it's Grand Opening celebration; coming up in early July, with a concert by (who else?) Jimmy Buffet. The hotel casino boasts nearly 400 hotel rooms, 35 luxury suites, 30-thousand feet of casino floor, four restaurants and a first class entertainment venue. ~Kevin Gallagher
