Food delivery service Waitr has put out a list of the most popular Super Bowl party foods around, and while the list is unsurprisingly topped by wings, fries, and burgers, Waitr spokesperson Whitney Savioe says there’s a surprisingly pick at number nine, a Louisiana icon that you probably wouldn’t think of when you think delivery.
“I love that there is boiled crawfish on here, because it is so true to Louisiana, and we started in Louisiana.”
Traditional wings topped the list, followed boneless wings at 2, and reports estimate nearly 1.3 billion chicken wings will be consumed on Sunday.
And if you’re a Who Dat who’s not boycotting the Super Bowl, you’ll probably be either hosting, or heading to a party for the Rams/Pats showdown, and that means you’ll need a good spread. Savioe says once the party gets together, you can make sure everyone gets what they want, without one person being stuck with a monster tab by using the “Group Order” option.
“Let’s say that you invite everyone over for Super Bowl Sunday, but you don’t want to foot the bill for everyone. Everyone can place an order separately from the same restaurant, and they will be charges the one five dollar fee.”
And while the company says they’ve scheduled extra drivers for the one of the busiest days of the year, Savioe recommended placing a “future order” to ensure you get your food exactly when you need it.
“You can always place a future order, so as long as its two hours in advance you can get your orders in a little early, and say you want them delivered for game time.”
Kickoff is set for 530PM Sunday.
