The investigation continues into the early Sunday morning mass shooting on Canal Street in New Orleans that left 10 people wounded when bullets went flying just before 3:30 AM. NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson says two of the ten victims were in critical condition. No arrests have been made.
A $5,000 reward has been offered for any information that leads to an arrest.
“While this investigation is in the very beginning stages, one thing is certain – we will not stop until we identify and arrest those responsible,” said Ferguson.
A motive or how many shooters were involved has not been discussed publically.
New Orleans Police are also investigating another shooting with multiple victims. This one left two people dead and two others wounded in the 7th ward.
No arrests have been made in that shooting and it’s unclear if the fatal shooting in the 7th Ward is connected with the mass shooting on Canal Street.
