After a 13-0 run so far, only two games remain on the road to a College Football Playoff National Championship for the Bayou Bengals. In celebration of LSU’s success, Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin proclaims today as LSU Football day throughout the entire state.
“It means it is a great time for us to celebrate the achievements of a team working so hard together, showing spectacular teamwork and celebrating the individuals that got awards,” said Ardoin.
Ardoin says today is the day for residents to wear purple and gold and break out the best LSU decorations.
“Put up their flags at their homes and on their cars and just enjoy the day and celebrate our tigers to show our support for them for the upcoming game,” said Ardoin.
LSU faces Oklahoma on December 28th in the Peach Bowl with the winner advancing to the National Championship Game in New Orleans on January 13th to face the winner of Clemson and Ohio State. Ardoin says he’s got full faith in the Tigers to go undefeated and get the job done.
“I’m praying for that and I certainly think that they can do it and I know that they will do it,” said Ardoin.
