President Donald Trump gave the national champion LSU football team a special treat during its visit to the White House today. After honoring the team for its undefeated season, Mr. Trump invited the coaches and players to the Oval Office.
“We’ll take pictures behind the resolute desk it’s been there a long time, a lot of presidents, some good, some not so good, but you got a good one now, even though they are trying to impeach the son of a bitch can you believe that,” said Trump.
Quarterback Joe Burrow presented the President with a #45 LSU jersey. Trump joked he thought Burrow was going to give him the Heisman Trophy.
Burrow says the trip to the White House is a great way to cap off the season.
“I just want to say it’s truly an honor to be here, thank you for having us soon after the game, so the seniors can be here, it’s a moment we will never forget,” said Burrow.
Like most people in Louisiana, Trump is a big fan of Burrow.
“You’re an inspirational player and you’re an inspirational person and you have a heart that’s incredible and the team respects you so much,” said Trump.
The president says this LSU team will be remembered as one of the greatest in college football history. He says the Tigers beat seven teams ranked in the top ten and they are led by a great man, Coach Ed Orgeron.
“I just want to congratulate you, it’s great to get to know you, you have a real friend here if I can every help you with scheduling, like next year, give you a little bit easier schedule, what do you think” said Trump.
