
The 18th ranked LSU basketball team had a 14-point lead in the 2nd half, but Auburn hit nine three-pointers in the 2nd half and then knocked down a jumper with less than a second left in overtime for a 91-90.
For the game Auburn hit 18 three-pointers. Samir Doughty had 26 points, including five 3-pointers. J’Von McCormick hit the game winning shot and had 23 points and five 3-pointers. Devan Cambridge knocked down seven three-pointers and finished with 21 points. Cambridge only averages 3.5 points a game. Auburn shot 44 3-pointers on the day, more than half of their shots came from three-point range.
The loss spoiled a great game from Skylar Mays who had 30 points. Darius Days had a really good game with 19 points, 15 of them came in the first half.
LSU is now 8-2 in the SEC and tied with Auburn and Kentucky for first place in the SEC. The Tigers have a chance to snap a two-game winning streak on Tuesday night when they host Missouri, who has not won a road SEC game.
