The story of Keiosha Felix, a 15-year-old who vanished in 2012, gets the national spotlight tonight on the show “In Pursuit with John Walsh,” which airs on Investigation Discovery. Show producer Michelle Sigona says authorities believe Keiosha may be in Duson, Baton Rouge, or Houston.
“We will always work under the premise that these children are alive until given notice otherwise by law enforcement. We really think and hope that she is out there somewhere and that someone knows something,” said Sigona.
Keiosha disappeared from her aunt’s home in Duson in April 2012. Sigona has hope the episode can lead to Keiosha’s whereabouts as the program has a history of successfully tracking down fugitives and missing children, including a recent capture.
“Someone called the hotline in the middle of the night after the show aired and law enforcement worked on that tip for a number of days and that person is in custody. So it works on the fugitive side, it works on the missing child side,” said Sigona.
Sigona says the show has a hotline that viewers can call or text in their tips and they can do so anonymously.
“If they have any information, and maybe they don’t want to give their name or email or their number, please just call us and text us with anything that you can offer,” said Sigona.
The hotline, 1-833-3-PURSUE, is based at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The show airs tonight at 9PM.
