One person is dead after being shot in the chest with a crossbow and two others have been arrested by Caddo Parish deputies in connection to the killing. Caddo Parish Sheriff’s spokesperson Cindy Chadwick says the body was discovered by two teens shortly after 4 PM Saturday near Wallace Lake in Shreveport.
“They weren’t really sure what it was, they just thought that it warranted the Sheriff’s Office come out,” said Chadwick.
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Rodney Christopher Nordby and the two arrested have been identified as 24-year-old Daniel Haire and 27-year-old Dillon Brown.
Chadwick says the investigation indicates the victim was at the Shreveport home of Haire when a disagreement occurred on Thursday night.
“And he was shot with a crossbow. Haire then contacted Dillon Brown and persuaded him to help him dispose of the body,” said Chadwick.
Chadwick says the body was left near the parking lot at Cameron Park early Friday morning.
“They wrapped it in comforters and they took it out by Wallace Lake and didn’t dispose of it in the water, but disposed of it nearby the parking lot, which is where the teenagers found it,” said Chadwick.
Both Haire and Brown were arrested on Sunday morning.
