Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin (R) will not seek re-election.
Tuesday is the last day to register to vote in the November 3rd election and your only option to do so is online at GeauxVote.com
Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin said time is quickly running out and if have any changes to make, or first-time voter registration to do now is the time to do it.
“By 11:59:59 PM Tuesday everybody should be finished registering or updating any of their registration information at Geauxvote.com,” said Ardoin.
Once you are registered Ardoin encourages you to download the GeauxVote Mobile App which provides registration info along with voting locations and ballot information.
Ardoin said changing your registration couldn’t be faster or easier, and registering for the first time doesn’t take long.
“Folks just need to make sure they have a Louisiana ID or a Louisiana special ID so they can use the audit code on the forms of that ID so we can verify them as quickly as possible,” said Ardoin.
Ardoin said we’ve seen a spike in registration that indicates a lot of enthusiasm for the November ballot.
“Louisiana before this election was at about 88 percent registration of all eligibles and now we are hitting over 90 percent and we have gone over the three million mark like we did in 2016 so I think there is a tremendous amount of interest,” said Ardoin.
Early voting for the November 3rd election starts Friday and runs through October 27th from 8 AM to 7 PM.
