The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles announced that the 2019 LSU National Championship license plate has been released today, meaning Tiger fans can now celebrate the historic season wherever they go. OMV Spokesperson Matthew Boudreaux explains what the unique plate looks like.
“It’s a purple plate and it has the LSU national championship logo that you’ve seen, it’s got Louisiana and LSU and that pretty gold and the back is purple with the logo over there to the left.”
Boudreaux says that the plate actually commemorates all of the football program’s titles throughout history.
“It has LSU national champions and it has the four years that they were crowned king of the college football world.”
For fans looking to purchase the plate, it will cost around 100 dollars and Boudreaux says the easiest way is to buy it online.
“Go online at expresslane.org, you can print out some documents there and mail them to us and we’ll process it and mail the plate back to you, all that information is on our website.”
The plate can also be purchased at the OMV specialized vehicle unit and select OMV field offices.
