Alliance Compressors is expanding its Natchitoches facility with a $45-million investment. Chairman of Alliance Compressors, Brent Schroder said the investment allows them to add a third assembly line to the plant, which will create 78 direct new jobs with an average annual salary of $47,000.
“This investment I think demonstrates our commitment to remaining a strong employer in the area,” said Schroder.
Schroder said due to the increasing demand from partners, Emerson, Trane Technologies, and Lennox Industries they need to add to their 400,000 square-foot facility.
“We have gotten to the point where we are fully utilizing our current capacity, and so to support ongoing growth and new product and new technologies we needed to add this third assembly line,” said Schroder.
The expansion is expected to increase efficiency and productivity by 30%.
Schroder said the anticipated direct jobs include hiring approximately 35 employers per shift for the plant in January and then adding a second shift once that’s up and running as the market demands.
“And in addition, we’ll obviously be hiring for quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, material handlers, other support roles that go with that line,” said Schroder.
Alliance Compressors opened in Natchitoches in 1998.
