Besides football, the Super Bowl is also known for creative commercials and Google Trends Expert Gina Shalavi said they take a look at the most viewed ads from game day on YouTube to get a sense of some initial trends. She said yesterday the most viewed ad was from Amazon.
“It was their mind reader commercial. The one that was starring Scarlett Johansen and Colin Jost, who had Alexa reading their minds a little bit too well for their tastes,” said Shalavi.
And T-Mobile made the top ten twice one ad in the second spot featuring Scrub co-stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison and the other in 6th place featuring Dolly Parton.
As for car commercials, Shall-ha-vee said three appeared in their Top Ten, in third place the Hyundai spot featuring Jason Bateman and the history of evolution, and in 7th place a Nissan spot with Eugene Levy.
“The action-packed one that was star-studded across the board as he’s racing to his own premiere in the new 2022 Nissan Z,” said Shalavi.
And A BMW ad with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Salma Hayek took the 10th spot.
At YouTube.com/adslist you can see everything Super Bowl-related to advertising and Shalavia said they noticed a growing trend this year when it comes to viewing ads online.
“There was a 35% increase in viewership of people watching these Super Bowl commercials on their living room devices,” said Shalavi.
