Since the start of the pandemic, home food delivery has become a bigger part of our lives. But record-high gas prices are impacting drivers.
So Waitr has implemented a new GasCard program, giving drivers 5% off on gas from all major gas stations. The GasCard is located within the driver app, allowing them to receive the five-percent discount immediately after purchasing the card.
“Drivers can convert their earnings into pre-paid master cards, these master cards are digital and they earn 5% at the time of purchase,” said Chris Barnes, director of the driver experience at Waitr.
Barnes says once gas prices go down, drivers will continue to earn savings when they fuel up.
“That is a forever item…and that will not expire at any point and we are very excited about that,” said Barnes.
