The lineup for the 2023 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival was unveiled this morning. Festival producer Quint Davis said the headliners run the gamut in musical genres.
“I mean you’ve got Dead & Company, Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, Kane Brown. Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Steve Miller Band, Ludacris, Tom Jones. It’s for everybody,” said Davis.

The pandemic forced the festival to postpone and then eventually canceled in 2020 and 2021. Davis said last year was an abbreviate comeback festival, but this 2023 festival is reminiscent of those before COVID and it’s about darn time.
“Dead & Company and Lizzo, they were scheduled on some of those festivals that got canceled. So, they stuck with us and we stuck with them and even years later now we’re finally getting to put them on,” said Davis.
Davis said Ed Sheeran is kicking off his American tour at Jazz Fest the first weekend, and Dead & Company, who isn’t on tour will perform the second weekend.
The annual event is held at the Fairgrounds and Racecourse. Davis said while it’s one of the biggest racetracks in the country it’s easy to navigate and you can catch all your favorite acts.
“So even though it’s a big festival and the stages are spread, they’re not spread that far apart. You can see everybody, go from one stage to the other, and go on time. Because the festival goes on time,” said Davis.
The festival kicks off on April 28th and runs through May 7th. For tickets and the full line-up visit NOjazzfest.com.
