If you’re curious how infrastructure funds are being spent and awarded in Louisiana, it’s as simple as a click on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law website at infrastructure.la.gov. Infrastructure Coordinator Jackson Wright said it provides a wealth of information on what’s been implemented so far.
“How much funding has been awarded to the state, what our priorities are at the state level for how we’re pursuing some of these competitive dollars and how we’re using some of these formula funds,” said Wright.
Governor John Bel Edwards officially unveiled the website Wednesday and among his favorite features is the dashboard, which Wright said features an interactive map.
“Where folks can get a sense of where the projects are happening across the state so far and what kind of projects they are,” said Wright.
Projects include improving roads and bridges, delivering broadband internet to underserved communities, addressing pollution, and the state’s climate action plan.
Wright said its important residents are aware of the projects that are already being implemented and those to come as part of the Infrastructure Act since its passage in November 2021.
“There’s already a tremendous amount of work that’s happening across the state and that dashboard is one way to see that work,” said Wright.
Wright said the site is also continuously updated and you can also sign up to receive their weekly newsletter.
