Walker High School Principal Jason St. Pierre, who revoked Kaylee Timonet’s scholarship and kicked her off student government after a video of her dancing at a private party, is taking leave for the remainder of the school year. St. Pierre posted on social media that he apologized and has reinstated the scholarship endorsement, but Timonet disagrees.
“The scholarship is already passed due, this is not true, he cannot reinstate it. I’m not saying 100% he didn’t reach out to the Senate and stuff to get this fixed but there’s no way it’s fixed over this short amount of time,” said Timonet.
Timonet, said when St. Pierre called her in his office to reprimand her about the dancing, he discussed religion with her and told her she should set a better example due to her SGA position. St. Pierre posted that Timonet brought up religion first.
“I’ve always been taught we do not bring up politics or religion, that is something that’s way out of the picture, especially in a public school, so I don’t understand why that was brought up. But he’s accusing me of us both of bringing up religion which is not factual,” said Timonet.

Timonet said because the scholarship deadline has passed and St. Pierre’s social media post that said he’s scheduled to meet with her mother to rectify the situation is misleading and they plan to file suit.
“So, I just want y’all to know that what he posted is not 100% true, this is not over, it’s past the point of a public apology, and now it’s time for legal action,” said Timonet.
The district office said they are processing the paperwork for St. Pierre’s leave request.
