One of the four victims in Monday’s stabbing on the Louisiana Tech campus has passed away from her injuries. Annie Richardson lived in Ruston and was a Louisiana artist. Bulldogs Coach Sonny Cumbie opened his weekly press conference discussing the tragic incident….
“Really a sobering reminder of the frailty of all of our lives,” said Cumbie.
Twenty-three-year-old Jacoby Johnson of Rayville now faces a second-degree murder charge and three counts of attempted second-degree murder. Authorities have called the attack on four women as random.
Tech freshman Colin Campbell of Minden saw the attack and took two of the victims to the hospital before first responders arrived.
Cumbie said the team’s thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by this violent act…
“You know I know our program and myself and people within this program are thinking about all that are involved, so a very scary situation,” said Cumbie.
