40-year-old Sabrina Washington and her 15-year-old son have been arrested for their connection to the murder of Kameran Bedsole in Iberia Parish last month. Her 11-year-old daughter is already in custody. Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Spokesperson Katherine Breaux says the 15-year-old who used to live in Iberia Parish was captured in Texas Tuesday.
“Detectives with the Houston Police Department arrested a 15-year-old male juvenile for the murder of Kameran Bedsole. The juvenile was arrested on charges of first-degree murder.”
Breaux says the male juvenile was transported to the Jackson Parish Juvenile Detention Center. She says the mother of both juvenile suspects was also arrested in Iberia Parish on Tuesday.
“Sabrina Washinton a 40-year-old female was arrested on December 5th on charges of accessory after the fact two counts. And her bond was set at 400 thousand dollars.”
The murder of 36-year-old Kameran Bedsole took place at a residence in the 47 hundred block of Jasper Road in New Iberia. Breaux says the sheriff’s office is not providing details on a motive but asks for the public to remain patient as the investigation is ongoing.
“The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office makes every effort to bring closure to such cases by making arrests however, when these arrests involve two juveniles and a parent it’s extremely tragic for all involved.”
