Four people have been arrested for their roles in the fatal drive by shooting of a 65-year-old Lake Charles woman. Two juveniles and two adults were taken into custody yesterday and the search continues for one more person. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff-elect Stitch Guillory says multiple rounds were fired from the vehicle and one of the bullets struck Annette Touvelll…
“She was just an innocent grandmother sitting on her couch, watching tv in her own residence when the bullets came through.”
Guillory says 17-year-old stole the vehicle used in the drive by shooting from a family member. He says 18-year-old Jordan Jones of Lake Charles was firing the weapon and he’s been charged with second-degree murder…
“From what we could tell, they were just driving down the road shooting at houses.”
Guillory says they also arrested 36-year-old Chelsea Hyatt of Sulphur because her daughter was in the vehicle and she never reported it to law enforcement. He credits the work of his deputies and the public for identifying the four suspects in the vehicle…
“I felt from the beginning that we were going to have a positive outcome in this investigation. Because I knew our public would not allow something like this to happen and for people to get away with it.”
The search continues for 25-year-old Tyler Lewis of Bridge City, Texas.
