A 15-year-old girl accidentally shot at a home in St. Tammany Parish has died. St. Tammany Parish sheriff’s Office Lt Suzanne Carboni says the teenager was sitting in the living room of the home in the Goodbee area.
“A male relative was also at the home. He told detectives he was in another room of the residence. He was handling his firearm when the gun accidentally fired,” Carboni said.
Carboni says the shooting took place on Tuesday and she died last night from a single gunshot wound. The gun was fired by a relative who was handling a firearm in another room…
“The bullet traveled through a wall and struck the girl who was seated in the living room area of the house. She was airlifted by emergency medical personnel to an area hospital, and unfortunately, she passed away,” Carboni said.
