Nearly 550-million dollars in renovations have been completed on the Superdome just in time for the Saints to host the Titans on Sunday in the final preseason game of the year. Superdome spokesperson Mike Hoss says the renovations were done to improve the fan experience
“Now you have larger concourses, more amenities on the west sideline just like the east. You have a 40-yard bar in the middle of the concourse.
Hoss says the four-phase renovation project removed hundreds of thousands of square feet of concrete ramps and replaced them with escalators, which resulted in more open space and it allowed for natural light to get inside the building…
“The change is large. You feel like the Superdome is more open than it’s ever been. You see sunlight coming in from different areas.””
Hoss says the amount of space that’s inside Superdome has increased dramatically, which will make it a lot easier for people to get to and from their seats…
“All of these levels, not just 100 and 200, every top to bottom has extra rooms. It is room well spent.”
The Saints regular season home opener is September 8th and the Caesars Superdome will host the Super Bowl on February 9th.
