If you’re curious about how much it costs to attend Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, according to Bookies.com’s Adam Thompson it isn’t cheap.
“For about two people if you include flights, hotel, parking, if you want some food and a couple of beverages to wash it down,” Thompson said. ” You’re talking close to $18 thousand.”
While Thompson says costs are lower than the last two Super Bowls in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, hotel prices drive up the total.
“There are approximately 41-thousand hotel rooms in the Greater New Orleans area, which is a lot, but for a Super Bowl, it’s probably not enough. The most affordable options of hotels that weren’t fleabag hotels were coming out to almost $2,7000 for two nights.”
Thompson attributes this to supply and demand, as New Orleans has fewer hotel rooms available compared to those cities. Despite the lower overall cost, securing accommodations remains a challenge due to limited availability.
“Las Vegas has over 150-thousand hotel rooms. LA is nearly 100-thound hotel rooms. So, in New Orleans, you’re talking less than half, and less than a third of those numbers.”
