A state representative is charged with DWI and child endangerment. State Police Trooper Jacob Pucheu says troopers arrested Marrero Democrat Kyle Green.
“He was involved in a crash. Throughout the investigation they realized that he displayed signs of impairment, and he was placed under arrest,” Pucheu said.
Trooper Pucheu says Green crashed his 2023 Honda Accord on U.S. 90 B in Jefferson Parish, and the crash was minor in nature.
“He ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a concrete area. He sustained some minor damage to his vehicle, making it disabled. Nobody was injured in the crash. He did have three children in the car with him though,” Pucheu explained.
Green’s children were released to a family member, and Green was taken to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, where he refused to provide a breath sample. Pucheu says the lesson is very clear.
“We always say, if you feel different, you will drive different and you’re putting not only yourself, but others at risk of serious injury or death,” Pucheu said.
