Lafayette-based Waitr announces its transitioning to a new name. ASAP. Spokesperson Dean Turcol says it’s reflective of their new business model – same day delivery of any type of goods, not just food, and you ‘ll receive it “as soon as possible.”
“With ASAP we want to bring the best-in-class food delivery services that everyone in Louisiana knows us for to a broader range of products,” said Turcol.
Turcol says the company signed partnerships with two software logistics delivery providers last week, Elite Extra and Burq, in order to deliver products like alcohol, clothing, sporting goods and auto parts. Waitr customers will begin to see subtle changes with the addition of the ASAP tagline.
“We assure our customers they won’t have to do anything different or additional when ordering their favorite foods from local restaurants during that transition,” said Turcol.
Waitr was founded in 2013 and is currently based in Lafayette.
