Early voting ended Tuesday. The Secretary of State’s Office says about 363-thousand registered voters casted a ballot. That’s a combination of in person early voting and absentee ballots. Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin says that’s about 55-thousand more ballots than the 2018 election, the last mid-term election.
” People are showing the importance of this election and voting early. Voting early continues to grow in popularity,” said Ardoin. ”
Ardoin says this was the highest number of early and absentee ballots combined they’ve ever had for a mid-term election.
“Were pleased with that hopefully we’ll have a robust election day turnout,” said Ardoin.
Ardoin reminds voters the November eighth election is on a Tuesday, so polls open at 6 AM next Tuesday.
“And the polls open at 6am and close at 8pm so we hope people will take advantage and vote on election day,” said Ardoin. ”
