It’s going to be the battle of the tigers this weekend in Baton Rouge. Grambling State is excited to face LSU on the football field for the first time tomorrow night. Grambling State University President Rick Gallot says this is a great opportunity for the university and football team.
“This is a good revenue generator for our university. So we’re certainly excited to make a profit on the game but certainly we expect it to be four quarters of some good football too.”
The historic Grambling Tigers have won 15 national titles and 26 SWAC Conference Championships. Gallot says the football team is used to playing in big venues across the country.
“To be able to play in Tiger Stadium is certainly something I know all of our students will have a great experience playing in one of the most revered venues in all of college football.”
Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. Gallot says GramFam will make their presence known.
“We have bought up every ticket that was available for our fans to purchase. Our world-famed Tiger marching band is looking forward to putting on a great show for the fans in Death Valley.”
