Republican Billy Nungesser has been elected to a third term as the state’s Lt. Governor. Nungesser faced five challengers and received over 65-percent of the vote. He’s appreciative of the public’s support…
“It just touches my heart that the people of Louisiana believed in me and our team and the hard work we’ve done over the last eight years,” said Nungesser.
Nungesser believes he has the respect of voters because he’s not afraid to tackle problems that plague the state, like litter…
“You know we moved Keep Louisiana Beautiful under my office. People said why do you want to deal with that? Because I saw something that needed to be done. And I think as long as you continue to serve the people of Louisiana, doing all you can to make Louisiana better. I’m just honored that the people recognized our hard work,” said Nungesser.
The Lt. Governor’s top priority is promoting tourism. Nungesser said his goal is to bring a record number of visitors to the state and the best way to do that is to promote every community…
“You can only bring so many people to New Orleans. We’ve got to make sure we highlight all the treasurers in every community and keep people seeing all of Louisiana,” said Nungesser.
