Tim Temple, Insurance Commissioner
Insurance Commissioner-Elect Tim Temple has formed an Insurance Advisory Council. Temple has selected five individuals to help develop specific policy solutions to aggressively tackle the insurance crisis
“To identify the common issues that we’re having in the state of Louisiana as it pertains to insurance, and then work toward whether it’s a legislative or regulatory solution.”
The advisory council will look at issues involving property, automobile, life and health insurance.
Temple wants to see a special session called early next year so that they can make changes to property insurance market, so that it results in more insurance providers writing policies
“Start that ball rolling of change so that you and I as consumers will have more choices. More choice is going to equal more competitive premiums.”
Temple says at his website Temple-for-Louisiana-dot-com, click the tab that reads transition team and you can offer suggestions on how to make insurance more affordable…
“People can go leave comments, thoughts, suggestions. We are reviewing those. We are looking at those. And those will be directed to the appropriate working group.”
