Three Natchitoches police officers are recovering from injuries after attempting to arrest 25-year-old Lakendra Bolton who allegedly tried to steal from Super One Foods yesterday afternoon. Natchitoches police spokesperson John Greely says two of the officers were injured when trying to arrest her in the parking lot
“Officers were able to met her at her vehicle where she put her car in reverse and actually ran over them.”
Greely says Bolton injured another officer when she rammed a police-vehicle head on which ended the pursuit. He says all three officers injured were transported to local hospitals.
“One with a serious lower body injury. Another with a minor lower body injury. And the other had an upper body injury and they’ve since been released from the hospital.”
Bolton was not injured during the chase. Greely says she was charged with several offenses including three counts of attempted first degree murder and felony hit and run.
“The investigation is still ongoing. And there are further charges that could possibly be added.”
